Dalton Wong, a prominent Cambodian-based Indonesian entrepreneur, was recently honored with the 2024 Most Innovative Entrepreneur Award at the 3rd World Digital Economy and Technology Summit. The event, held at the Shangri-La Hotel in Jakarta, Indonesia, attracted over 300 attendees, including delegations from countries such as Cambodia, Singapore, Indonesia, Vietnam, Laos, the Philippines, Australia, Malaysia, the India-UK corridor, Thailand, Korea, UAE, and Hong Kong.
Dalton, who serves as the Executive Chairman of MassWork Co., Ltd, expressed his gratitude upon receiving the award. “It’s a tremendous honor to be recognized among such a distinguished group of innovators,” he stated. “This award is a testament to the hard work and dedication of the entire MassWork team.”
Methods To Traditional Distribution Businesses In Cambodia
MassWork is playing a pivotal role in the development of Cambodia’s first USGA-certified waterfront golf course. The company recently signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Bay of Lights Golf Development to serve as a co-investor and turnkey developer for the project. The golf course, located in Sihanoukville, will feature an 18-hole course and a driving range, and is expected to become a major attraction for both local and international golfers.

The Most Innovative Entrepreneur Award recognized Dalton’s application of innovative systems and methods to traditional distribution businesses in Cambodia. His approach includes several key initiatives, such as the use of apps to track salespeople across the country, monitoring distribution, sales, attendance, tardiness, and sales activities to drive performance and productivity. Additionally, the company employs technology for sales tracking, ordering, and stock movement and allocation.
Improving Processes & Systems To Enhance Efficiency And Effectiveness
MassWork has also achieved cost efficiency by consolidating key functions such as Group Finance, Group HR, Group Admin, Group Marketing, and Group IT to support all companies within the group. This approach includes cross-charging back services to respective companies. The implementation of a multiproduct sales team has further enhanced cost efficiencies and sales effectiveness. Automated report generation for performance management, MIS, and management reporting provides near real-time information, enabling effective business management.
Dalton highlighted the importance of innovation in his acceptance speech, saying, “Innovation is not just about creating new products but also about improving processes and systems to enhance efficiency and effectiveness. The institute aims to translate ideas into impactful actions and is recognized for curating high-level conferences and forums. KSI was ranked 109th among Top Social Policy Think Tanks, reflecting its influence and contribution to policy discussions in the region.
