Indonesia seeks investment opportunities in Battambang

The Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia in Phnom Penh has sought business and investment opportunities for Indonesian investors who are keen to invest in the Kingdom, especially in Battambang province, said a statement by the Cambodia Chamber of Commerce (CCC).


The delegation led by Lauti Nia Astri, Chargé d’Affaires Ad Interim of the Embassy of Indonesia in Phnom Penh on last Thursday met Phuong Veasna, Vice President of CCC and President of Battambang Chamber of Commerce to discuss potential business and investment partnership opportunities in Cambodia.


“The meeting is to discuss the business, trade and investment situations in the province in addition to looking at the potentials and opportunities in the country as a whole for bilateral relations in such areas between the two countries,” read the statement.


The 14th Indonesia Trade and Tourism Promotion (14th ITTP) has ended with three trade deals signed at the transaction value of $1 million after three Indonesian companies signed three Memorandum of Understandings (MoUs) to trade goods and services with their respective Cambodian partners at the event organised in Phnom Penh on August 4-6, 2023.


The ITTP event succeeded in recording a number of trade commitments including the signing of three trade deals between an Indonesian state-owned enterprise PT Perushaan Perdagangan Indonesia and Ung Kheang Group Co Ltd, PT Wahyu Bunga Nusantara and TrueHome Co Ltd and PT Kimia Farma with K-1000 Trading Co Ltd.
